Trimbakeshwar Temple, one of India’s twelve Jyotirlingas, is in Trimbak, 28 kilometers from Nashik. Established by Maratha ruler Peshwa Nana Saheb in the 18th century, it’s known for classic architecture and the Kusavarta, believed to be the source of the Godavari River. The Jyotirlinga has three faces representing Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Rudra. Only men can enter the core area, wearing a silk dhoti. Devotees can book pandits for Abhishekam rituals.
