Purana Qila, also known as the Old Fort, is one of the oldest forts in Delhi, located in the peaceful surroundings of Indraprastha. There are many myths and legends surrounding this ancient monument. One story suggests that the historical city of Indraprastha, mentioned in the epic Mahabharat, was built here by the Pandavas, and the fort served as their famous assembly hall. Another legend says that King Humayun met his end by falling down the steps of his library inside the fort.
