Pragati Maidan, located on Mathura Road in New Delhi, is a big exhibition center spread over 150 acres. It has well-made roads, gardens, and places to eat. The name “Pragati Maidan” means “progress grounds”. It has 16 large halls and is the largest exhibition center in Delhi. Every year, it hosts about 70 exhibitions and conventions from India and around the world.
Pragati Maidan was built to celebrate India’s progress in technology and talent, marking 25 years of independence. It’s a symbol of India’s “Make In India” initiative and is a very important place. One of the biggest events held here is the Indian International Trade Fair (IITF), which attracts around 10,000 exhibitors and 3,000,000 visitors every year. Other popular events include the World Book Fair, Delhi Book and Stationery Fair, Auto Expo, and the Delhi Jewellery and Gem Fair.
