Munsiyari is a small and charming village in Uttarakhand, often called “Little Kashmir”. It’s nestled in the Pithoragarh District and sits at a height of 2298 meters above sea level. This lovely village is famous for its breathtaking views of the snow-covered Himalayan Range and offers some exciting trekking routes.
Located near the borders of India, Tibet, and Nepal, Munsiyari serves as the starting point for three glaciers: Namik, Milam, and Ralam Glaciers. The village enjoys pleasant weather all year round and is surrounded by stunning peaks like Panchachuli, Nanda Devi, and Nanda Kot. It’s also known as the “Gateway to Johar Valley”, which was an ancient trade route connecting Tibet and India.
