Situated just 4 km from Kasol along the scenic Parvati River in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu District, Manikaran is a renowned pilgrimage spot for both Sikhs and Hindus. The area is dotted with temples and the revered Gurudwara Manikaran Sahib, drawing pilgrims and tourists from far and wide.
Manikaran is famous for its three hot springs, offering visitors the opportunity to bathe in their healing waters. One of these springs is located within the Gurudwara premises, while the other two are managed by nearby guesthouses. Separate bathing areas are provided for men and women. The sulphur-rich water of these springs is believed to have curative properties, capable of alleviating various ailments. Additionally, the water is so hot that it can be used for cooking, making it an integral part of the langar served at the Gurudwara.
