Lansdowne is a small hill town not too far from Delhi, about 258 km away, in Uttarakhand. It’s in the Pauri district and is surrounded by forests filled with oak and pine trees. The town has old buildings from the time when the British ruled India, and it’s a great place for people who enjoy watching birds, going for walks, or just spending a weekend away from the city.

The British people who lived in India a long time ago discovered Lansdowne, and they named it after the Viceroy of India at the time, Lord Lansdowne. The guesthouses in Lansdowne remind us of that colonial period, and they have balconies with amazing views of the mountains.
